na pester teden je najboljša rešitev pobeg v hribe prvo prosto minuto. še posebej s prijateljico, s katero vedno narediva cel naravoslovni dan iz enega hriba.

v okviru lončarskega festivala, ki je v soboto, 25. maja, potekal v radovljici, smo za otroke pripravili hitro delavnico sitotiska, kjer so si lahko na majico odtisnili lončarske motive. bilo je super fajn!

as a part of a pottery festival, which was held in Radovljica on saturday, on 25th may, we prepared a quick screen printing workshop for kids, where they could print their own t-shirt with pottery motifs. it was real fun!

we congratulate organizers for the festival and hope to be back soon.

a friend told me she made dandelion jam. and being a big fan of dandelion salad i had to try making the jam myself. i picked up the blossoms, cut oranges and lemons and then everything needed to boil for a reaaaaal long time. my mum helped out when i got bored to stand there.

we filled the jars with jam then covered them with a blanket so the jam cools down slowly. i made tiny labels to go around the jars. and now we’re just going to pass them around. jam is yummy, we didn’t add as much sugar as the recipe said because you’d get diabetes right-away so you might feel a bit of bitterness at the end.

i rewarded myself for national screen printing day and headed to zagreb to see suuns fellows at a concert. i was a great field trip and a great fun that i was missing.

and since it’s been raining for a few days it was a perfect time to try out the screen printing equipment that i got from my mentor. everything works fine now, that my dad, an electrician, fixed the vacuum table. i think my first home project are going to be business cards since i was asked to give one and didn’t have it. good times ahead!

good week. spring: blooming trees, shining colors allover, works at the garden, active days spent outside.

and i was a part of two projects in screenprinting: an interesting approach to making business cards (a link to come soon) and made tshirts for suuns, a canadian band that started their european tour yesterday. tour dates here. it was my biggest order ever received until now: screenprinting 200 tshirts is a project of its own, especially when you’re out of space on the drying stand and at one time you end up with a room covered in white/black.

but the great talks that you have while working on projects, the friendliness and openness of people, the learning, the trust are the things that really add the quality and meaning to any work done.

truly is a goddess. the beautiful landscapes that just play with your mind and leave you walking around with open mouth.

4 days of sightseeing (do it by renting a car because bus/train won’t get you anywhere and the price at the end is pretty much the same, but the experience incomparable), then attending a creative festival OFFSET in dublin. great minds, great artists. hope we got infected! (not only with the cold :)
